```A SELFLESS CALL``` ```POLITICS: A Dirty game``` _“politics is a dirty game”- this is the political perspective of almost if not all Nigerians._ _Politics in Nigeria is “dirty” because most of the good and qualified citizens are not interested in the political affairs of the country. Thereby leaving us in the detriment of the unqualified and few good and politically inclined citizens._ _We have leadership and political affairs in most of the institutions in the country including the Educational institution. In the university, the political affairs is mostly dominated by the male fork not because of gender inequality but because the female counterpart have little or no interest at all._ _Ogundipe Leslie (1987), suggested harmonization and democratisation of roles through which men and women can participate equitably in the urgent mission of social transformation and reconstruction. WAS THE CIVIL WAR SENSIBLE? Christian Okwori After reading about nine different books by various biased and neutral authors and old newspaper compendiums on the Nigerian - Biafra Civil War of 1967 to 1970, I can safely conclude that the war was due more to youthful egos between Ojukwu of just 36years of age and Gown of just 31years of age who were in a hurry to practicalize their military trainings . The War Lords mortgaged the lives and futures of millions in the alter of their ego and youthful exuberance. Had the Warlords been in their fifties or sixties I swear there wouldn't have been a war.
