```POLITICS: A Dirty game```

_“politics is a dirty game”- this is the political perspective of almost if not all Nigerians._

_Politics in Nigeria is “dirty” because most of the good and qualified citizens are not interested in the political affairs of the country. Thereby leaving us in the detriment of the unqualified and few good and politically inclined citizens._

_We have leadership and political affairs in most of the institutions in the country including the Educational institution. In the university, the political affairs is mostly dominated by the male fork not because of gender inequality but because the female counterpart have little or no interest at all._

_Ogundipe Leslie (1987), suggested harmonization and democratisation of roles through which men and women can participate equitably in the urgent mission of social transformation and reconstruction. In other words, women should cooperate with the man to participate equally in order to achieve social transformation and reconstruction and I believe this can happen through women participation in political affairs of the society._

_In the university’s political structure, no matter the tier of government be it SU level, Faculty level or departmental level there are specific positions or posts which are exclusively reserved for the female students or politicians which indicates female participation in the decision making at any level._

_Therefore, the female students should engage in the political affairs of the institution no matter the level as we all have a say in the smooth functioning and social transformation of the institution.._

JAMB- not a DO or DIE The joint admission and matriculation board(JAMB) is one of the examination we can not just easily avoid in Nigeria. As a secondary school student aspiring to further his or her education through the tertiary institution you must write this exam and your performance will determine if you will be admitted or not into the tertiary institution. Every year, over 600,000 students apply for JAMB. Your application does not automatically qualify you for ADMISSION as there are other factors attached to the APPLICATION for the exam. We have students who wrote the exam once, pass and they were admitted instantly. BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE, UGLY ON THE INSIDE All through our lives we are been taught HYGIENE both personal hygiene and environmental hygiene in our formal and informal Educational sector. Through formal education, we were taught in the nursery school, primary school, secondary school, mass media etc. about the importance of hygiene. Informally, we learn from our elders, parents and even through the government who imposes sanitation at least once a month in every state. Surprisingly most of us are not learning. We know the importances of hygiene but yet we are not practising it. Here, I want to focus on our personal hygiene because I believe that if you are personally clean then your environment will be clean. Personal hygiene is very important for both sex but more important for the female fork. So please permit to focus on the female forks.
