AFTER UNIVERSITY WHAT NEXT?

 AFTER THE UNIVERSITY WHAT NEXT?

Education is the foundation of success. Just as scholastic skills are vitally important, donate financial skills and communication skills....... Robert T. Kiyosaki

"Study hard and get good grades and you will find a high paying job with great benefits" most parents used to say or still say. Most of our parents goals is to provide us with good Education so that we would have the greatest chance for success in life.

The world today is changing but the Education is not changing with it.

We spend years in an antiquated Educational system, studying subjects we will never use. For instance:
An engineering student who has been looking for 'X' from 100 level down to 500  level. Or a
Sociology student studying and cramming the year each theory was propounded by different scholars. Scholars like Auguste Comte, Emile Durkheim, Talcott Parsons, etc. Or a
Political science student studying Karl Marx theories all through his/ her stay in the department...

Be savvy that the brain is the most powerful computer in the world. Channel it toward your future not only your present place or position.

As students, we are engross with our scholastic life every day. All we do is to wake up, rush to School, attend lectures all day, come back home tired, weak and stressed out, graphics a food and off to bed. The same routine every day and finally excel academically, graduate or convocate.

After convocation what next? We are now faced with the reality of the outside world. Remember if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. Why not pause and ask yourself " am i prepared for the life after school?".

The old advise from our parents " go to school, study hard and get good grades and then you will find a high paying job with great benefits" no longer work in this present world. The rich are growing richer while the poor are getting poorer.

Please don't code me wrong, i am not saying Education is bad. Education is one of the requirements or foundation of success. Just as scholastic skills are important, so are financial skills and communication skills.........Add a tinge to your scholastic life.

As a friend of mine will say "Education is just a society requirements but not the only requirement for success"
